This Sunday you are invited to rise and shine an hour earlier, put on your casual clothes, and join us for a day of inspiration, gardening with the green team after church and good food… not only for lunch but also for Sunday Supper!
As environmentalist and founder of the Sierra Club John Muir wrote, “Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul”.
Particularly now, with the greening of the earth, our beautiful sanctuary reminds us of God’s renewal of the earth and invites us deeper into our own renewal in body, mind and spirit.
Come join us to experience:
— the renewal of your body, mind and spirit.
– the healing power of community, for all ages.
– the joys of gardening in this beautiful setting, guided by our Green team.
– a delicious and heathy Sunday Supper, hosted by Suzie Harris.
“The many great gardens of the world, of literature and poetry, of painting and music, of religion and architecture, all make the point as clear as possible: The soul cannot thrive in the absence of a garden. If you don’t want paradise, you are not human; and if you are not human, you don’t have a soul.”
– Thomas Moore, The Re-Enchantment of Everyday Life, 1996, p. 101
Blessings upon your week, Pastor Laurie
