Every month Skyline offers traditional and seasonal events for you to enjoy and / or to volunteer to help plan and coordinate.  If one of these strikes your fancy, email us! Thank you!

January:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday
  • Stop Shivering Sunday; fourth Sunday of January: Donate warm clothing to various agencies.

February:

  • Souper Bowl Sunday: provides food and funds for the local food pantries.
  • Black History Month

March – April

  • Good Friday Vigil – Lawrence Livermore Labs

  • Welcoming Sunday! Mid-September’s return from summer travels followed by an outdoor potluck picnic.

  • Sierra Leone fundraiser: Skyline supports a school that serves children from 4 villages.

November:

  • Voter engagement
  • Coming Out Sunday / Gay Pride
  • Indigenous People’s Sunday
  • Alameda County Community Food Bank food drive
  • Pie donations to Thanksgiving Dinner for Homeless in Oakland

December:

  • Advent
  • Annual Christmas Party
  • Visit to a nearby homeless shelter with gifts for children.
