Care Opportunities

Feb, 2018:  Skyline has a number of members in our congregation in need of TLC – we need: prayers; cards; phone calls; rides to medical appointments; visits at home, in hospitals, and in care facilities;  and babysitting for a few hours with their children. If you’re interested in learning more, please call Pastor Laurie via the office at 510-531-8212  [email protected].

Our Care volunteers offer practical and compassionate care support to our congregants. These volunteer opportunities complement the pastoral care provided by our ministerial staff.

Companion Ministry – Provide companionship to our congregants in need. You will be assigned to regularly visit a congregant requesting assistance. This is an ongoing ministry with a one-year commitment. No prior experience is necessary and training will be required. Contact Pastor Laurie for more information.

Home Communion Team – Join our teams that deliver home communion, at least one quarterly at mutually agreed upon times, to those of our members who are unable to attend worship. You will receive training and a Skyline communion kit. If you would like to partake in this heartwarming experience of sharing home communion, please request information. Contact Pastor Laurie for more information.

Rideshare – This is an easy way to support our beloved community. Give a ride to and from church to people who cannot drive to Sunday service or other church events themselves.

Prepare meals for those in need – This is an easy way to provide TCL to those who are homebound and in need of love.

Email or call the office (510-531-8212) to find out how you can serve here.
