Virtual Food Drive for Alameda County Community Food Bank

November 1 – November 30

The Skyline Community Church  & Preschool Virtual Food Drive IS UNDERWAY!  Just click  to start donating, or visit https://www.vfd-accfb.org/selectgroup.aspx?ID=7563.  This link takes you to our fundraising page at ACCFB. Find the green “SHOP” button under “Skyline’s November 2020 Food Drive” to shop now to end hunger!   Every $1 you donate allows the Food Bank to distribute 2 nutritious meals. That’s a great investment in our community!  Our goal is $800, and with the challenges being faced by thousands of people due to the shut-down, let’s shoot for $1500!

  • Alameda County Community Food Bank estimates the need for food assistance has doubled since the start of the pandemic

  • ACCFB is distributing more than 1 million pounds of food per week. That’s enough food for 60,000 people daily

  • Many key items we regularly distribute – rice, beans, and canned tuna – are costing 40-75% more than before the pandemic. We purchase most of the food we distribute, and are spending $1 million a month on food. That’s 5-6 times more than pre-COVID expenses.

If you prefer to donate through Quiks or by check, write ACCFB in the memo or description field and Skyline will make a donation

The food bank serves 1 in 5 residents in Alameda County.  Thank you for making this happen!
